Wednesday December 1st, 2010

Today in class was our last as far as lecturing is concerned. It was a lot shorter than all the rest and was focused on our education endeavors and what is expected of us as college students. Jimmy made it clear that we are all talented individuals who can go very far in life but we must stay focused and at every opportunity make it a point to go above and beyond what is expected of us. He asked us all what art classes we were taking next quarter and gave us a heads up on what to expect in our upcoming classes and  what we should try and get out of the courses being offered as design students at Cal State LA. Overall, in this class we all grew in certain areas and gained lots of in site to what we should strive to do and who we should aim to become as designers. We learned how to come up with concepts and how to clearly map our ideas. We now understand the meaning and purpose of creative briefs and can take all the skills we developed in this class and use them to our advantage. I have enjoyed this class and look forward to taking more classes with Jimmy.
